Police in Sunrise are searching for three men who were caught on surveillance video robbing a gold exchange store.

The robbery occurred at 9:37 a.m. Dec. 16 at Riojas Gold Exchange at 2692 N. University Drive.

Sunrise police said three men went into the store, armed with a handgun. They pulled down surveillance cameras, but not before they were captured on video.

The men stole cash and jewelry, then left the store through a back door. Police said they got into a 2010 silver Dodge Charge, which they had left in the alley with its engine running.

The car had been reported stolen from Lauderhill, police said.

The men all wore button-down work shirts, black pants and sunglasses. Two wore masks, and the third covered his face with his hands. One of the men also wore an Atlanta Braves baseball cap.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
